Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a behavioral science that includes:
- epistemology — a system of knowledge and values;
- methodology — techniques and procedures for applying knowledge and values;
- technology — the means that enable the application of this knowledge and values.
In NLP, the mechanism of verbal influence is combined with various physical “anchors,” which also corresponds to the mechanisms of Bekhterev’s combined reflex and Pavlov’s conditioned reflex.
NLP contains a number of unique principles and concepts that allow for analyzing and identifying significant patterns of values, behavior, and interpersonal relationships, and transforming them into useful and reliable tools. NLP is based on a range of simple linguistic, neural, and behavioral patterns and concepts. In some aspects, they are more fundamental and content-independent than any other existing model of human thinking and interaction.
NLP provides the opportunity to evaluate not only the behavioral content of our actions, but also the invisible forces behind that behavior, as well as the thinking structures that ensure the success of our actions.
